Ene Kangron graduated from the Estonian Academy of Music as a choral conductor and music teacher. She studied conducting with the famous Estonian Professor Gustav Ernesaks. 1971-1980 she worked as a music teacher in Tallinn. Since 1986 she works at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (EAMT). She has been head of the Music Education Department and currently works as head of the Continuing Education Centre of the EAMT.
Since 2002 she has been head of the Estonian Music Olympiad Commission, since 2016 president of the International Music Olympiad Committee. Ene Kangron is a prize winner of several international choral competitions.
